ACP’s Fifth Annual Standing Committee Meeting

On December 10, 2018, ACP and CAAC held the Fifth ACP Standing Committee Meeting in Beijing.  CAAC and ACP discussed aviation challenges faced by both countries, and the opportunities they present for future cooperation. In addition to ACP members, we were joined by representatives from FAA, TSA, USTDA, State and FCS.  TSA Administrator David Pekoske and Deputy Administrator Lyu Erxue Co-chaired the High-Level Dialogue Session. FAA Asia Pacific Director Carey Fagan, and CAAC Department of International Affairs Director General Liang Nan moderated and presented during the Open Discussion Session.

Both sides discussed China’s aviation progress, aviation challenges faced by both countries, and the opportunities for future collaboration.  ACP will continue to prioritize work that will be beneficial to China’s aviation growth, and undertake activities related to safety, efficiency capacity, and sustainability of the sector.
