Manufacturing and Airworthiness
Current Program: Transport Aircraft Certification & Airworthiness (TACA)
Main Themes:
· Helping improve the transport aircraft safety certification and airworthiness system
· Further developing the capabilities to put new transport aircraft (both US and Chinese built) into safe operational service
General and Regional Aviation
Current Program: General and Regional Aviation Study
Main Themes:
· Studying the ways other countries with strong General and Regional Aviation components were able to develop their systems
· Showing the benefits to China of General and Regional Aviation development (economic growth, pilot/mechanic training, disaster relief, etc.)
Airport
Main Themes:
· Airport committee was introduced based on the great opportunities in China to built nearly 100 new airports by 2020
